Eric Woods (B'91)

Eric Woods is the founder of Paladin Ventures, LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to identifying and assisting entrepreneurs and emerging businesses in need of strategic planning, business development, marketing & brand management, and investment capital across a variety of disciplines.

Woods began his career on Wall Street, first at JP Morgan as a trader in the Tax-Exempt Bond group, and then at Goldman Sachs trading European equities. He leveraged the exceptional training and knowledge received after over 10 years at these prestigious firms to embark on the path of an entrepreneur.

As the chief financial officer of NuAmerica Agency, a multicultural marketing and advertising firm, he helped steward five-fold growth in the business. NuAmerica’s clients included BET Networks, Pepsi, Allied Domecq, Kobrand, Beam, Oster Products, BOOST Mobile and Royal Elastics. As the founding chief operating officer of UPTOWN Magazine, the first upscale lifestyle magazine directed towards African Americans, Woods was instrumental in the development of the business into a nationally distributed publication and securing investment capital. Always looking for ‘what’s next’, he served as co-founder of Bitty Foods, America’s first protein enriched baked goods company powered by insect protein. Woods also founded Harlem Vintage, a wine boutique, and Nectar Wine Bar, both of which are the first of their kind in Harlem.

Woods is a graduate of Georgetown University and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
