Kay Madati (C'95)

Kay M. Madati is the global vice president, and head of content partnerships at @Twitter, Inc. overseeing the company’s worldwide efforts to engage with media and content publishers across the categories of TV, film, music, sports, news, lifestyle, influencers, and creators. He is responsible for leading the teams that develop the executional strategies and deals for how partners can extend, scale, market, and monetize their content and programming initiatives across the Twitter’s passionate and engaged users; ultimately showcasing that ‘Content is Happening, NOW, on Twitter’! 

Madati has a B.A. from Georgetown University, where he majored in American studies with a concentration in philosophy, and an executive management leadership certificate from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. He is both a Tanzanian and U.S. citizen, who has lived in Africa, the U.S., and the UK. 

Outside of work, Madati is a passionate advocate for youth in underserved communities. He is a founding board member and chairman emeritus of both Brooklyn Excelsior and Atlanta Heights Charter Schools. He is a board member of CoachArt, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for chronically ill children. 

Madati also serves on the Advisory Board of Harvard University’s Hutchins Center for African and African American Research. In February 2014, President Obama appointed Madati to the President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans, and the following month, he joined the board of Dallas-based Wingstop Inc., a fast- growing restaurant franchise concept, as an independent director.
