Nona Richardson (SFS’89)
Nona Mitchell Richardson is the founder and chief strategist at MitchRich Communications. MitchRich helps non-profit organizations engage their audiences, elevate their causes, and move their constituencies to action. The firm specializes in strategic digital engagement, narrative and message development, and executive coaching and community engagement, among other tactics.
Richardson’s professional experience includes nearly 25 years in the communications field, working on issues affecting youth development, public education reform, health and wellness, racial equity, community development, and public policy research.
Richardson is also a co-founder of Rest Restore Reset Retreats, a wellness organization that supports Black women over 40 years old to rest luxuriously in nature, and mastermind their next chapter.
Richardson earned a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in communication from Johns Hopkins University.
